Google Business Profile management for local businesses

Your Google Business Profile is often the first thing a nearby customer sees, before your website. We set it up properly, keep it active and show you how many calls and visits it brings in.

A Google Business Profile (it used to be called Google My Business) is the listing that appears on Google Maps and in the local pack when someone searches for a business like yours. It shows your name, rating, photos, opening hours and buttons to call, get directions or visit your website. For many local searches, customers decide from the profile alone.

A half-finished profile with the wrong category, no photos and unanswered reviews quietly loses those customers to competitors who did the work. We do that work for you, for businesses in Singapore and Johor Bahru.

What's included in setup

Google Business Profile setup is part of our local SEO setup, from S$250 one-off:

  • Profile created or claimed, and checked against Google's guidelines so it is not at risk of suspension.
  • The right primary category, plus secondary categories that match what you actually do.
  • Services and products listed with clear descriptions.
  • A business description written for customers, not stuffed with keywords.
  • Opening hours, holiday hours, phone number, website link and service areas set correctly.
  • Photos added and organised: logo, cover, work samples and team where relevant.
  • A review-request link and QR code you can share on WhatsApp, receipts or at the counter.

Storefront or service-area business?

Google treats these two types of business differently, and getting it wrong is a common reason profiles get suspended.

  • Storefront: customers come to you at a staffed location during opening hours, such as a shop, showroom or clinic. Your address is shown.
  • Service-area business: you go to your customers, such as contractors, cleaners, movers and aircon servicing. Your address is hidden and you list the areas you serve instead.

Some businesses are both. We set the profile up to match how you really operate, which is also what Google's guidelines require.

Monthly profile management

A profile that is set up and then forgotten slowly falls behind. If you want us to keep it active, monthly management can include:

  • Regular Google posts for offers, new services, projects and updates.
  • Review replies drafted for you to approve, so every customer gets a response.
  • New photos added as you complete jobs.
  • Keeping hours, services and holiday hours up to date.
  • A short monthly report: profile views, calls, direction requests and website clicks.

Monthly management is quoted after the free audit, once we know how much work your profile needs.

Reviews: how to get more, the right way

Reviews are one of the strongest signals for local ranking, and the first thing customers read. Google's rules are strict: you must not offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and you must not ask only happy customers (a practice called review gating). What works is asking every customer, at the right moment, with a link that takes them straight to the review box. We set that link up and help you build the habit.

Your profile and your website work together

Google uses your website to understand what you do, and customers often tap through from Maps before they call. A slow site or a website that does not mention the services in your profile weakens both. Pair your profile with our web design service or the broader local SEO service, which covers citations, schema and service pages too.

Singapore and Johor Bahru profiles

We manage profiles for businesses on both sides of the Causeway. In Johor Bahru many customers search in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese as well as English, so we make sure your services and description cover the words they use. In Singapore, service areas are often set by HDB town or planning area. If you want to do some of it yourself first, start with our Google Business Profile checklist.

Google Business Profile FAQ

Do I need to own the Google Business Profile?

Yes. The profile should be owned by your Google account. We ask to be added as a manager, so you stay in control and can remove us at any time.

Can you get my profile verified?

We prepare everything and guide you through Google's verification, which is often a short video showing your business. Google decides the method and the outcome.

Can you remove bad reviews?

No one can remove genuine reviews. We can report reviews that break Google's policies and draft calm, professional replies to the rest.
